Collin Dauterive

I am one of the founding members and partners at Parish Investment Advisors. One of the main reasons we started Parish was to create transparency between us and our clients. Starting our own firm allowed us to move away from the traditional transaction and commission based model. We are now able to focus on each individual client, addressing their ever-changing needs, wants, and objectives. This has allowed us to truly develop valuable relationships with our clients.

I was born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana. This is where I was first introduced to the financial industry by my father, who was a CPA and later a financial advisor. I admired his strong work ethic, and at a young age knew the commitment required to successfully serve clients and their financial needs.

My interest in finance was solidified with my studies at Louisiana State University and University of Louisiana-Lafayette, but my decision to launch an independent advisory firm came after trying to fit my philosophy into other companies’ service models. After obtaining my degree, I began my career as an advisor at well-known regional bank in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Later, I relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana for an opportunity at a larger institution to represent a bank as an advisor in Lafayette, Jennings, Franklin and New Iberia.

I strongly believe in a healthy work-life balance. I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and playing golf and tennis. I reside in Lafayette, Louisiana withy my wife and two children.
